Day 1, 2, 3 - Cape Town - 3 nights - Welgelegen. Bed & Breakfast.
Our representative will be waiting at Cape Town International Airport to transfer you to the hotel. Nestled below the landmark Table Mountain plateau, Welgelegen welcomes you "home from home" and provides you with the comforts and extra luxurious touches you wish you could treat yourself to all year around.

Your hire car will be delivered so you can spend the next three days exploring the wonders of Cape Town and thereafter the picturesque Garden Route. From the V&A Waterfront and the historic Malay Quarter to Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Robben Island, you´ll discover wonders of culture, history and nature in one slick city.

Day 4, 5 - Cape Winelands - 2 nights - River Manor Country House. Bed & Breakfast.
After breakfast, drive the short distance to the Cape Winelands for a 2 nights stay in the historic village of Stellenbosch. Your base will be the quaint River Manor Country House, a stylish and serene boutique hotel situated just a few minutes stroll from the centre of this fascinating and vibrant town.

Day 6 - Hermanus - 1 night - Ocean Eleven Guest House. Bed & Breakfast.
After breakfast, drive along the coastal road to the seaside town of Hermanus, the prime land-based whale watching town in the world. The whales come into the bay from June to November but outside of this time this is still a lovely town to visit as you meander along the Garden Route. Ocean Eleven is a Cape Cod, colonial style luxury guest house, situated on the famous cliffs of Hermanus.

Day 7, 8 - Plettenberg Bay - 2 nights - Bay Lodge. Bed & Breakfast.
Continue along the renowned Garden Route, via Knysna, to the resort of Plettenberg Bay and its wonderful beaches. Bay Lodge is a six roomed boutique beach lodge with amazing views over the Indian Ocean and contemporary designer touches throughout. Spend time exploring this scenic and exciting region.

Day 9,10 - Amakhala Game Reserve - 2 nights - Hlosi Lodge. Full Board.
Continue to Port Elizabeth where you will deposit your car and will then be transferred by road to the Amakhala Game Reserve and Hlosi Game Lodge. Lying along a curve of hill above the Bushman's River in the Eastern Cape, this luxury game lodge is a quiet, grassland retreat offering a rich and intimate luxury African safari experience. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in this malaria-free reserve in the hands of highly trained and knowledgeable rangers and trackers.

Day 11 — Johannesburg.
After breakfast and your morning activity you will be transferred back to Port Elizabeth Airport for a flight to Johannesburg, which will connect with your international flight back to London.

Why not bolt-on a few days in Mauritius at the end of this itinerary to spend time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the great resorts of the island? Mauritius is reached in a 4-hour flight from South Africa and you can then fly back directly to London from Mauritius.
