9 NIGHTS / 10 DAYS (excluding international flights)

Day 1 – Okavango Delta - 2 nights - Xugana Island Lodge. Full Board
On arrival in Maun you will be met by a representative and shown onto your light aircraft for a flight to Xugana Island Lodge, for 2 nights in a twin/double chalet on a full board basis, inclusive of all game drive activities, locally branded drinks, laundry and park fees.

The Xugana Lagoon is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, which sits in the midst of the Kalahari sands and is Africa's largest and most awe-inspiring oasis. The Okavango River, rises in the highlands of Angola and never reaches the sea; instead its immense waters empty over the sands of the Kalahari. Here the great desert thirst is quenched in a wilderness of fresh water lagoons, channels and islands. Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a private concession and takes full advantage of this magnificent site. Explore the Delta by motorboat or canoe (mokoro), or enjoy guided walks on the surrounding islands in the concession.

Day 3 – Moremi Game Reserve - 2 nights - Camp Moremi. Full Board
After a game activity and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip to continue on your journey by light aircraft to Camp Moremi for 2 nights in a twin/double East African-style safari tent on a full board basis, inclusive of all game drive activities, locally branded drinks, laundry and park fees.

Peering out beneath giant ebony trees, Camp Moremi brings true meaning to the word safari in the Xakanaka area of Moremi Game Reserve. Here, where the life-giving waters of the Okavango meet up with the vast Kalahari, ancient Mopane forests, open grassland, seasonal floodplains and Riverine habitats have formed, creating one of the most magnificent and welcoming animal sanctuaries in all of Africa. Activities center around morning and afternoon game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicle in the Moremi Wildlife Reserve and exploring the lagoon and surrounding channels by motorboat.

Day 5 – Savute Channel - 3 nights - Savute Safari Lodge. Full Board
After a game activity and breakfast you will be transferred by light aircraft to Savute Safari Lodge for 3 nights in a twin/double chalet on a full board basis, inclusive of all game drive activities, locally branded drinks, laundry and park fees.

It is on the banks of Botswana’s fabled Stolen River, that you will find Savute Safari Lodge in a setting of singular beauty. The now dry Savute channel is part of the dynamic Savute eco-system renowned for its large concentration of elephants and lions. Activities at the lodge revolve around game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh, and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.

Savute lays claim to the second biggest summer zebra migration in Africa, which is determined by the rains, but usually occurs between November and December and again between February and April when the zebras are in search of the rain-ripe grasslands.

Day 8 – Kalahari Desert - 2 nights - Deception Valley Lodge. Full Board
After a game activity and breakfast you will be transferred to the airstrip to continue on your journey by light aircraft to Deception Valley Lodge for two nights in a twin/double chalet on a full board basis, inclusive of all game drive activities, locally branded drinks, laundry and park fees.

Deception Valley Lodge is a luxury lodge located in Botswana's vast and fascinating Kalahari Desert, where you can experience the Kalahari first-hand with the local Bushman at hand to share their knowledge and experiences. What makes Deception Valley unique is the rare opportunity to meet and explore this remarkable environment with the Bushman guides of the San people, one of the oldest cultures in Africa. Explore the bush on foot, while your guide teaches you their hunting and survival skills and the culture and crafts of the San people, who over the centuries have adapted their lives to survive in the most inhospitable environment of them all.

In addition to the Bushman activities, guests can participate in safaris in open 4X4 vehicles (including night drives to explore the nocturnal species), professionally guided walks, bird watching from the deck at the main lodge or in a hide at one of the water holes, do some star gazing at night, and enjoy sundowners whilst enjoying the amazing Kalahari sunsets.

Day 10 – Return
After breakfast you will be transferred to Maun Airport where the itinerary terminates.
