Speke Bay Lodge & Camp
Key Facts
Overview
Nudged between the Tanzanian shores of Lake Victoria and the Serengeti, Speke Bay Lodge & Camp offers something different in comparison to the norm of a Tanzanian beach getaway.
The beauty of where Speke Bay resides, is that it’s in close proximity to the ever-verdant western regions of the Serengeti National Park, where there’s water, there’s richness in life.
Eight small boutique bungalows welcome those who desire a balanced variation of relaxation and adventure, with custom-made furniture, spacious main rooms and a large French window-style opening also awaiting. Speke also includes twelve tents all with thatched-roofs, two beds and a hot shower for a more peaceful and rustic feel.
Trips and excursions at Speke Bay heavily involve engaging within the local environment & people and getting a feel for what life is made up of here, with mountain bike trips, excursions by canoe, fishing and bird-watching. The local Tanzanian cuisine revolved around the fresh fish caught from Victoria, and the vegetables grown in the nearby fields.
Please Note: The tents at Speke Bay Lodge & Camp are semi-permanent.
