Overview

Set within the Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and Africa’s wildest, with stunning scenery, lays the luxurious and most intimate Nile Safari Lodge, offering the high standard of comfort and personal attention that it is most well known to offer from the GeoLodges Collection.

Only ten rooms paint a personal, private picture to arriving guests, who can relax looking over the mighty Nile in good comfort surrounded by truly authentic African hospitality. Choose from either the 5 wooden chalets or 5 luxury tents, which all come with en-suite washrooms, light spacious rooms that let the mind wander. Personal waiters are on hand, as you enjoy an ice-cold sundowner in the evening & a tea or coffee in the morning.

Enjoy the relaxing on-site bar & lounge and the culinary delights in the restaurant as you sample the best of Africa. If that hot Ugandan sun is getting too much, or after a hard-days viewing game, why not find some respite in the swimming pool, chilling out and winding down. As the dusk settles in, lap up the atmosphere around the open fire which houses dancing to stargazing & birdwatching. The staff are understandably passionate and enthusiastic about their nation and the wonder it can bring, making your stay a truly heart-warming one!

The best part of this area has to be the Murchison Falls National Park, named after the Scottish geologist Roderick Murchison, expands to nearly 3,500 square kilometres, with flora and fauna in abundance. Just some of the marvellous animals include Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Oribi, Hartebeest & the Ugandan Kob.

With the Nile cutting through the park, is the perfect home for some amazing bird life, and some endemic to the area, such as the Shoe-bill Stork, Red-fronted Bee Eater, Silverbird and the Blue Mantled Coucal. One of the real spectacles is the Murchison Falls itself, the top being barely 6 metres wide, sending over 300 cubic metres of water per second. The real force of the falls comes from the narrow gorge, making for a really rip-roaring sight.

The Nile Safari Lodge is part of the GeoLodges Collection in Uganda.
