Just ten chalets make up Jacana, including a family cottage which has two rooms conjoining, with all rooms spacious, pleasant and unique in its own personal theme to the surrounding forestry of Maramagambo. En-suites are all in each chalet, along with constant hot water for showers offer nice touches of simplistic luxury. Enjoy the lovely furnishings, discerning panoramas over Lake Nyamusingire and the opportunities to appreciate refreshing Sundowners when dusk arrives.
The Virunga Lounge offers that cosy feeling of the day’s stories of Africa and of the day’s activities, with the heart of it being the large stone fireplace, fine carpets and a real African earthy feel that greets those on arrival. The Lodges swimming pool is an excellent place to watch the sunset, with the fabulous wide-open views and the same place as the Saunas & massage area which really winds you down after the day’s adventures.
