Banyan Tree - Mahé
Key Facts
Overview
Banyan Tree is an elegant resort located on the south-western coast of Mahé, on pristine Intendance Bay.
Lost in Paradise, a Champagne-on-the-Rocks experience, is characteristic of Banyan Tree’s luxurious yet laid-back and relaxed island living.
The 60 Victorian-style villas have wrap-around views of the pearly sands and azure blue Indian Ocean, each furnished with a king-size bed and swimming pool. Six villa categories are tagged with useful, "does-what-it-says-on-the-tin" names: Hillside Pool Villas, Beachfront Spa Pool Villa, Pool Villa by the Rocks, Intendance Pool Villa, Two-Bedroom Double Pool Beachfront Villa and the top-of-the-range Presidential Villa, tucked away in a private cove.
Dining options are plentiful: the award-winning Saffron provides a Thai and South-east Asian experience; Au Jardin d’Espices serves up Mediterranean-rim fayre, and Chez Lamar’s menu is inspired by spicy, native-Creole dishes. La Varangue has a smorgasbord of tapas with a choice of fragrant shisha.
The Banyan Tree Spa has eight pavilions, each with side-by-side treatment beds. Two of the eight pavilions have jet spa baths and steam rooms. Unwind in the spa or on beach, or pick up the pace with a range of sporting activities that include mountain biking, snorkelling or canoeing.
Banyan Tree have various Hotels & Resorts across the world, one of their most prestigious is the Vabbinfaru Resort.
