This trip is your chance to explore the wonders of the Zambezi River in Zambia. You will be staying in two luxury accommodations along the Zambezi River with chances to visit one of the seven wonders of the world ‘Victoria Falls’ along with many other activities within the resorts.

Day 1 – London to Lusaka to Royal Zambezi Lodge
Depart London Heathrow scheduled British Airways flight to Lusaka, flying overnight. Relax and enjoy the in-flight hospitality and entertainment available on board. On arrival into Lusaka, you will be met and transferred by road to Royal Zambezi Lodge, approximately a 10 minute drive.

Royal Zambezi Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River at one of the rivers widest points. The lodge sits within the Chiawa Game Management Area, which neighbours the larger Lower Zambezi National Park, and is set against the scenic mountain backdrop of the Zambezi Valley escarpment.

The Lodge accommodates a maximum of 30 guests in 3 Presidential Suites, 4 Deluxe Suites and 8 Classic Suites. The large Tented Suites, each with a thatched canopy, are spaced out along the river bank under mature trees, with private decks to savour the surrounding wilderness. Be lulled to sleep with the sounds of the night and unforgettable sunrises over the river will greet you each morning.

Royal Zambezi Lodge is a striking combination of contemporary style, luxury and comfort in an area rich in wildlife with common sightings of elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo, impala, puku, bushbuck, kudu, zebra, warthog, baboon, hippo, crocodile and abundant birdlife. On evening game drives, nocturnal animals such as hyena, porcupine, civet, genet, honey badger and leopard could also be seen.

Offering world-class fishing as it is home to the finest fresh water angling experiences, unrivalled game viewing on foot or in 4X4 vehicles these are the best ways to see and photograph predators, magnificent sunset river cruises, professionally guided canoeing trips and one of the only spas in Zambia, the Lodge also has a well earned international reputation for the diversity of its experiences. There is also a cultural village tour in Chiawa where you can explore the rich heritage of the Goba Community, the Zambian cuisine and Performing Arts.

Day 6 – Royal Zambezi Lodge to Livingstone – 3 nights – The River Club

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred directly to Livingstone by aircraft. On arrival in Livingstone, you will have a 20 minute road transfer to The River Club, where you will be staying for the next three nights.

The River Club is located on the Zambezi River and is the only lodge located on high ground on the edge of the river allowing guests to have the best views of the surrounding nature, this means you’ll have an elevated view into the sunset from every room and each of the rooms look over ‘Hippo island’ into the Zambezi National Park.

The River Club is located on the banks of the Zambezi River just upstream from the world famous Victoria Falls. The 10 bedroom property has imposing views over a sweeping bend on the Zambezi River. The lodge is set on a 50 acre secure property with manicured gardens, where guests can totally relax without having to go anywhere if they choose not to.

The River Club offers a ‘Do Nothing Activity’ where it just allows guests to relax and use facilities on the resort to comfort them. They could do this by relaxing around the most magnificent swimming pools in the world which is located on site where you will also find large private deck and sun loungers to help you escape and relax. There is also loads of other activities for you to enjoy during your stay, one being a visit to the World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls, it is an hour drive away from the hotel and known as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’, it is an extraordinary place to visit with amazing views of one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

You could also enter the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park where you can view some of the only remaining White Rhino in Zambia, there is also the sunset cruise down the Zambezi River. The African Village Tour is something you don’t want to miss also, visiting the Simonga or Sinde villages where you can get a feel for Rural Africa and meet some of the local residents. Other activities include; white water rafting, river boarding, jet boating, elephant back safaris and the Livingstone island excursion.

Day 10 – Livingstone to Johannesburg to London

Departing The River Club after breakfast, you will be collected and transferred to Livingstone Airport for your connecting flight to Johannesburg International Airport. On arrival into Johannesburg you will get the British Airways scheduled flight back to London Heathrow, flying overnight. Relax and enjoy the in-flight hospitality and entertainment available on board.
