FREGATE PRIVATE ISLAND – PRESTIGE
An island of outstanding natural beauty with giant, granite boulders rising from seven white sand beaches, Fregate Island is a unique destination to experience the best the Seychelles have to offer. This small and exclusive luxury island is four degrees south of the equator and is accessed by a twenty minute flight from Mahe.
This tropical paradise-like island is a protected turtle haven safeguarding the nests of hundreds of endangered Hawksbill turtles, and home to 2200 free-roaming Giant Aldabra Tortoises.
Fregate Island is the most secluded island in the Seychelles, offering 16 beautifully crafted residences providing ultimate comfort, privacy and intimacy. Your residence nestles nicely into the coastal line, naturally screened from your neighbour. With your own luxurious terrace, large private infinity pool and Jacuzzi, daybed and dining pavilion, you overlook the lush jungle and deep blue seas – a vision of perfection!
You will be surprised at just how many flavours you can find on Fregate Island. One of the reasons they take such great care to nurture the Island’s natural habitat is to ensure that the fruits and vegetables they grow themselves are of the highest quality. A large variety of fish also lands in the harbour from the ocean, for you to choose from. With this variety of fresh, succulent ingredients, Fregate Island offer Creole and international cuisine at its best.
Besides dining in the restaurants and bars, you can explore dining in the unique Treehouse high up in one of the island’s oldest and largest banyan trees or in the Yacht Club. When you sit down to dine in the plantation, you choose your ingredients together with the Chef de Cuisine from a wide variety of exotic vegetables, herbs and fruits. You can also choose any of the beaches for a BBQ, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The Inland Harbour in the Lagoon is the first port of call for a wide variety of adventures on water. Your dive trips, deep sea fishing tours, Hobie Cat sailing excursions, sunset cruises and Seychelles Island Safaris all set off from here. At 125 metres above sea level, the highest point of the Island is Mont Signal where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Island’s jungle, beaches, granite rugged outcrops, ocean and the neighbouring islands. With hiking routes all over the island, you can explore its uncomparable scenery and beauty.
Why not try exploring the winding mountain trails by hiking, or exploring the island on buggy trips. The air conditioned gym facility is open for your workouts, including a personal trainer if required, and yoga lessons are available at any time of day. With giant tortoises gently roaming the grounds of the Rock Spa, a warm welcome awaits you in this haven of relaxation for mind, body and soul offering a range of facilities and treatment rooms. Nature walks with resident conservationists are a popular choice, and for the more adventurous guests, arrangements can be made for helicopter rides to other islands or golfing destinations.
