LOWER ZAMBEZI – DELUXE
For the epitome of bush chic set in a stunning location along the Zambezi River, at the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, this supreme luxury retreat offers all the game and all the sights without all the masses of people.
The Lower Zambezi National Park is relatively new, officially gazetted in 1983 and covers over 4092 sq km. The Park has a large variety of faunal species including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and insects, distributed in varying densities and in complex and diverse eco-systems.
The camp can hold 16 total guests at one time, these suites include; 5 signature suites, 2 honey suites and a ‘Kigelia House’, each of the suites presents a sophisticated to a accurate bush experience. The tents are spaced along the Zambezi River Bank which will allow the elephants to stroll among them. They’re all furnished to create a minimalist style with a luxurious African feel. The signature suite is the most simplistic out of the three tents having its own sliding doors opening up onto the private decks.
The large honey moon suites both include an indoor and outdoor bathroom their own dining area, open doors leading out to the teak deck which within it holds their own private plunge pool over-looking the stunning views and wildlife of the Zambezi National Park. The Kigelia House is perfect for small groups or families with two en-suite bathrooms which are separated by the large open living area leading out to the wooden deck and private pool in which they can relax.
Guests can begin their game experiences from the comfort of their tents as elephant and other game walk straight through the camp. Each tent has a private open-air en suite bathroom. There’s a loo with a view, and the honeymoon tent offers a bath tub worth marrying for! Each tent has its own personal butler to attend to you and all tents have 24 hour power and hot and cold treated water.
Guest areas are fronted by a large teak deck over-looking the extraordinary views of The Zambezi River this is where you will find the dining area and the bar. The 25m lap-pool is found on the edge of the bank being shaded by the mahogany trees. All of the tents stay very cool
Sausage tree camp offers a large range of game viewing activities including game-drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing. Furthermore, you don’t have to go far away from camp to see game as elephants, hippos and buffalos are seen in camp daily.
