A BEAUTIFUL PARK WITH STUNNING SCENERY, WONDERFUL TREES AND GOOD GAME

Tarangire is a really beautiful park with a stunning range of trees, including huge Baobabs, and a great river running through it. It is a good place for a game viewing and is only a couple of hours from Arusha, making it the perfect first stop on a northern circuit itinerary, particularly in season. It’s also only 8km off the Great Cape to Cairo Road. It’s far less visited than the Serengeti, and has a great density of wildlife, with particularly large herds of elephant congregating around the Tarangire River during June to October. From November wildebeest and zebra calves start to be born in the park and they then tend to stay in the park as their young develop until March when they move out north towards Kenya and Amboseli. The wet season is April & May.
