The only permanent luxury lodge in Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is renowned for its romantic stilted tree house suites that are under a canopy of mahogany trees. The lodge is discretely hidden away high in the trees in a secluded corner of the national park.

Each suite is a lofty tree house with private veranda and large windows that open out over the forest welcoming in the sights and sounds of the bush. The spacious bedrooms with views have adjoining bathrooms include a large, free-standing bath, with an open air shower behind a simple bamboo screen.

Guest areas within the forest include a boma, lined with traditional dugout canoes, an open kitchen, decked dining area and Safari Shop, which hosts local craftwork and clothing.

The lodge operates daily game drives with the option of night game drives as well. You may enjoy a scenic bike ride through the nearby Mayoka community, hosted by a guide, to visit with the friendly residents of this bustling village. Maasai village visits are also available, where you will be invited inside the low traditional homes, made using branches and twigs overlaid with a mixture of soil, cow dung and ash. After an exhilarating game drive, guests stop for sundowners on the lake shore below the Great Rift Valley wall.

This region is host to an incredible variety of habitats and wildlife, including the pink flamingos of Soda Lake, large numbers of buffalo, cheetah, leopard, Maasai giraffe, hippo, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Elephants seek refuge in the dry winter season, while 400-600 bird species are in full force during the summer.
