A LUSH RIVERINE AREA RICH IN WILDLIFE

In the north-east of the country is the narrow Caprivi Strip, where the land is bordered with Angola, Botswana Zambia and Zimbabwe and also surrounded by the rivers of the Zambezi, the Okavango, the Chobe, the Kwando and the Linyanti. The vegetation here is lush and supports a dense population, making this a unique corner of Namibia which, in many ways, feels much more like a part of Botswana or Zambia. The area is rich in wildlife with wild dog and elephant often seen in the region. The Caprivi is the easiest overland access route connecting the main body of Namibia with Victoria Falls and Botswana’s Chobe National Park.
