Naibor is located in the heart of the Masai Mara Reserve, twenty minutes drive from the nearest wildebeest river crossing, and is accessible by regular scheduled flights to Ol Kiombo Airstrip from Nairobi (40-mins), Samburu, Lewa Downs and Nanyuki.

The Camp is a striking combination of contemporary style and comfort and muted bush colours. The seven, spacious, pale-canvas tents nestle amongst a riverine forest and accommodate king-size beds of fig-wood with soft quilts, wide sofas furnished with bolster cushions and wool rugs, each positioned for the maximum enjoyment of the surrounding views and complete privacy. Each guest tent is complete with shady verandah, his & hers wash basins, en-suite bathroom with flush toilet and safari shower, filled daily with hot water on request. The tents are furnished with solid, comfortable furniture so that you have the ultimate in camping-luxury to come back to after exciting game drives or walks in the conservancy.

The main ‘mess’ tent is beautifully located overlooking the Talek River and beyond where animals regularly come to drink. Comfortable floor-cushions, rugs and sofas invite the weary to relax and enjoy the sounds of the wilderness and the camp-fire provides a welcome spot for pre-dinner drinks in the evening. Meals are made from the finest fresh ingredients prepared by experienced chefs. Dinner is served at either the long banquet table or at private tables under the stars, whilst breakfast and lunch may either be served in camp or as a picnic during a morning of game watching.

Little Naibor is located within the immediate vicinity of Naibor Camp, and is made up of two spacious suites which are uniquely designed. Each suite contains a double and a twin bedded room, with their own bathrooms, inter-joined by a communal lounge and verandah area. A dedicated team of staff caters to your every need. Each of these stunning suites have their own private fire places and dining areas set up strategically located overlooking the Talek River with complete privacy and spectacular views. Little Naibor can be booked and used as an exclusive private arrangement, or used in conjunction with the main Naibor Camp and its facilities.

Naibor’s location allows guests to experience wildlife from a prime position in the heart of the reserve yet within a short drive; they can enjoy the freedom of the conservancy. Walking with the knowledgeable and experienced guides and Masai rangers is a very popular activity outside the reserve, allowing for some really memorable moments and a chance to see the bush from a very different perspective. Game drives are also a great opportunity to witness the plentiful and varied wildlife that inhabits the surrounding area. Animals seen regularly in the reserve include lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra among others. Birdlife is excellent around the camp and the surrounding environs.

Sundowners on Look Out Hill, or in some other carefully chosen site, are also an excellent way to spend the last hour of the day as sunsets in the Mara can be spectacular.

The new Naibor Spa offers first class massages, reflexology, foot scrubs, manicures and pedicures, amongst other luxuries. Situated in a nice shady spot on the banks of the Talek River, the Spa is an ideal way to relax surrounded by the natural beauty of the Masai Mara.

A number of extra activities (at additional cost) can be arranged including: hot air ballooning with the nearest ballooning site being approximately 20-minutes drive away; cultural visits to see how the Masai live; “Out of Africa” style bush meals, which can be set up for any number of people in a private exclusive location, with all of the locations carefully chosen to maximize on the views, and wildlife sightings.

Naibor involves local communities in preserving their wildlife and environment whilst providing them with an alternative source of income, enabling these rural populations to benefit from their natural resources in a sustainable and non-destructive way so to better their lives. Naibor also recruits camp staff from the immediate community and the community also receives a conservation fee for every bed night in the camp, which is then dedicated to social development projects. Another community project is the Naibor Shop, where the local community sell their handmade crafts and arts, providing the Masai people with a market for their artistic talents.
