THE LAND OF THE GIANTSThe Tuli Enclave (or Tuli Block as its also known) lies in the south-east of Botswana on the border of South Africa. Known as “the land of giants” for its vast panoramic views, rugged topography, huge ancient baobab trees and large rocky features carved from ancient granite rocks, plus its huge herds of elephants. This attractively rugged area is unlike the rest of the country. The great Limpopo River cuts its way through the granite outcrops and dense forests that sustain an abundance of wildlife, including large herds of elephant, kudu, impala, wildebeest, giraffe, lion, zebra and leopard plus a profusion of birds. In addition rare nocturnal species such as caracal, aardwolf, hyena and jackal can also be seen at night. Fascinating archaeological sites abound and iron-age settlements are still being discovered and excavated.
