Kings Pool Camp is set overlooking the ox-bow-shaped Kings Pool lagoon and the Linyanti River System it is known as the Scandinavian Royalty. The camp presents magnificent wildlife viewing due to the range of habitats within the area; these can be shown whether you are on land or water, the glamour and luxury of the camp are there to boast the safari experience.

Activities include day and night game drives and walks, while boat cruises along the Linyanti River (water level allowing) offer spectacular game viewing. King’s Pool Camp has two game-viewing hides: one located at the western end of the camp, where guests can spend an entire afternoon watching game quench their thirst, the other in an original underground hide with the water at eye-level.

Nine canvas and thatch tents have large bedrooms with a lounge, double-showers, an outdoor shower, private plunge pool and ‘sala’ (an outdoor, open-sided thatch viewing and relaxation area). The tents are connected to the main lodge via a network of elevated wooden walkways, which lead guests to the camp’s impressive bush facilities: a pool, lounge, dining room and bar as well as an open-air boma (a traditional African meeting place), created for dining under the bright Milky Way.

The area is known to be patrolled by Wild dog and Leopard where they are seeking its antelope these can be experienced firsthand within the different activities the camp has to offer which are scheduled twice a day. The camp is a deluxe and historic safari base in the middle of Africa’s highest concentration of elephants. Safely ensconced in the security of the hide, guests can expect to experience regular sightings of elephant feet and trunks, almost within touching distance. Linyanti is noted for its large herds of elephant, particularly in the dry season. Antelope such as impala, Lechwe, kudu and bushbuck, along with zebra, giraffe and buffalo are as abundant as their predators: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog and spotted hyaena.
