MOREMI, BOTSWANA – PRESTIGE
Moremi is frequently described as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. Here on Mombo Island, surrounded by open floodplains teeming with game, you can siesta beneath ebony and fig trees with the very best of game viewing before you. Both camps are located just off the northern tip of Chiefs Island, they’re built under large shady trees. The only difference between the two is that Little Mombo is designed to have more privacy for the guests being in a slightly more secluded area a fair distance from the main camp.
The camps show some of the best game viewing Africa has to offer, with extraordinary attention of the ‘Big Five’. Due to being located in the Moremi Game Reserve, night drives are not allowed. However, the wildlife you see during the daily activities can more than make up for this. Activities are game focussed as the incredible abundance of wildlife in Botswana demands such as game drives by 4×4 Land Rovers. Among likely sights are leopard, cheetah and hyena and Lion sightings are particularly good. In addition, black and white rhino have been reintroduced to the region for you to experience in the wild, where they belong! Relaxing private dinners offer the perfect way to unwind to a great day in the bush.
In total the 12 suites are all designed the same with private balconies to grasp their own view of the beautiful Delta, an en-suite bathroom with a double headed power shower, and a private sala out on the veranda where guests can spend afternoon listening to the sounds of the spectacular bush. What separates the Little Mombo to the main camp is the privacy it has; the three tents are a fair distance from the camp and has its own communal areas and a private plunge pool to relax in.
Guests enjoy infinite views of the open plains from the main dining room, pub and living areas. Or you can chill out and cool off in the plunge pool.
Children are welcome at the camp; however children under 6 cannot participate in games drives.
This accommodation would suit adventure enthusiasts, wildlife lovers and first time or returning travellers. Someone who is looking for a relaxing holiday with slight adrenalin.
