It’s that time of the year, to start thinking about where to travel to in 2018. We have narrowed down a few destinations that we think will be exciting throughout 2018.

MYANMAR

Myanmar sits at the crossroads of India, China and Thailand and stretches from the southern Andaman Sea up into the eastern Himalayan Mountain Range. This is one of the largest and most diverse countries in the region and remains relatively untouched by modern intervention, and is fast becoming a popular tourists destination.

WHEN TO GO?

November, December and January are the best months to visit Myanmar because of the dry and ‘cooler’ weather conditions.

WHY TO GO?

Due to the recent general election Myanmar has been renewed with hope and is becoming an exciting destination.

COSTA RICA

Costa Rica is officially known as the Republic of Costa Rica, it is a country in Central America. Bordered by Nicaragua in the north, Panama to the south east, and the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Caribbean Sea to the east and Ecuador to the south of Cocas Island.

WHEN TO GO?

March is when the weather is the best – December to March is the ‘dry season’ in Costa Rica.

WHY TO GO?

From May 2016, twice-weekly British Airways will provide direct flights from London Gatwick; this will be launched so more tourists can travel to Costa Rica.

BRAZIL

Brazil is the largest country in both South American and the Latin America region; it is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, and the rest of the South American countries expect Ecuador and Chile. Brazil includes much of South America’s interior and occupies a large area along the eastern coast of the continent. It is the world’s fifth largest country, both geographically and by population as it occupies 47.3% of South America’s population.

WHEN TO GO?

Rio is a year-round destination, but the summer is December to February and is the best time to experience the beach scene.

WHY TO GO?

Rio is hosting the Olympics and Paralympics in August 2016.

BOTSWANA

Botswana is a vast land of contrasts and is landlocked between South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Zambia. Roughly the size of France with a population of only 2 million, it has dedicated 17% of its land to game santuaries with sound management policies to protect this rich asset.

Botswana celebrates its 50th anniversary of independence in September 2016.

VIETNAM

Vietnam is located on the eastern Indochina Peninsula and has justifiably grown in population as a tourist destination over the last few years and it is destined to become a real star. This is a country overflowing with natural beauty including a wonderful long coastline with idyllic islands and superb beaches that are amongst the finest in South East Asia.

WHEN TO GO?

April is one of the best months to visits Vietnam. December to May sees the best weather across the country.

WHY TO GO?

The visa regulations are more relaxed so this hot destination is even more appealing for tourists.

KENYA

Kenya is how we probably all imagine Africa with open, rolling plains dotted with spreading acacia trees stretching into the shimmering distance and merging with the cobalt sky at the edge of the horizon. Kenya’s prolific game and expanses of wilderness led to the ‘safari’ evolving as a form of thrilling and often decadent recreation in the heady colonial days.

WHEN TO GO?

The ‘dry season’ from November to June – river crossing of the migration usually take place from August to October.

WHY TO GO?

Kenya offers tourists with splendid safari and also beautiful coastal scenes.

INDONESIA

Indonesia is actually an archipelago of over 17,000 islands that spread over nearly 2 million square miles and sits across both sides of the equator for over 3,000 miles. It is the world’s fourth most populated country with 240 million and counting, an is a feast of different cultures, landscapes and colours.

WHEN TO GO?

During the ‘dry season’ from June to September – visit Raja Ampat for diving, October or November are the best months to go.

WHY TO GO?

You will be able to see the total solar eclipse on 9th March 2016.

MOZAMBIQUE

Mozambique is bordered by 2,500km of the Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the north-west, Zimbabwe to the west, and Swaziland and South Africa to the south-west and is the separated by the Mozambique Channel to the east.

WHEN TO GO?

March and December are the best months to visit Mozambique because the weather is at its finest – however with 12 months of sunshine, there really is no bad time to visit Mozambique.

WHY TO GO?

Lots of new hotel openings on this paradise island, meaning this beach destination is becoming one of Africa’s hottest locations to be.

OMAN

Oman is a country of enormous diversity and natural beauty, which while it has much to attract the discerning traveller, has until recent years been overlooked by international tourists. Oman is an ideal destination for guaranteed winter sunshine, whether on honeymoon, with family or a group of friends. .

WHEN TO GO?

January, February, March, April and November are the best months to visit Oman; however Oman is a year-round destination for weather.

WHY TO GO?

Oman is a diverse location with mountain scenery, deserts and beaches; Oman is a year-round destination for great weather.
